My kids love someone reading aloud to them so when I started playing these audiobooks during our errand runs around town, I found our time in the car so much calmer and productive. I noticed how the kids were quieter, looking out the window as they listened. Here’s for pleasant outings!
- Beatrix Potter is an absolute favorite of mine, especially fantastic narrated by Katherine Kellgren who does ALL THE VOICES. Extremely enjoyable for even grown-ups, to listen as you drive. I also recommend the whole set of endearing animal stories to be kept at home as well.
- Chrysanthemum is a wonderful story that introduces talking to your kids about kindness and also building their own their self-esteem by loving themselves just as they are.
- Listen to the antics of George and Martha, two silly hippopotamus friends.
- Little Bear’s Friend is a sweet book with the whimsy and charm of a child’s imagination.
- The Runaway Bunny, The Story of Babar and Goodnight Moon set to classical music.
